Cris Seda Chabrier
I’m a reporter and photojournalist based in New York City and Puerto Rico, and I am primarily interested in migration, local politics, feminism and gender. I’ve been published in the Tucson Sentinel, Mada Masr, New York City News Service, Todas and Pulso Estudiantil, among others news outlets.
I’m currently finishing a master's in Bilingual Journalism at Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism (CUNY). I’m also a proud graduate of the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras where I majored in Political Science and Audiovisual Communication. In the past, I was into academia and I published my undergrad thesis on Puerto Rican religious extremism in Centro Journal, the leading publication for The Center for Puerto Rican Studies at Hunter College (CUNY).
When I’m not working, I like to photograph on film, read sci-fi novels, and go to the beach.
